I saw the clouds from home and drove down to the beach hoping they would last. I set up by the rocks as I liked how the water was flowing over them as they reached shore. I dug my tripod into the sand, put on the filters and started shooting. I experimented with various shutter speeds until I got what I liked as far as the smoothness of the waves. While I was shooting, the tide was supposed to be going out, but where I was positioned, the water was actually still coming in. Luckily I had the tripod to hold onto because one wave nearly dragged me out to sea. I'm glad the tripod legs had sunk deep enough into the sand and also that the water didn't fry my camera.
