I would like to know if you have suggestions on a wide angle lens for my Canon? I have 35mm Canon T2 and would like to purchase a wide angle, but having trouble on what kind or zoom size? Can you help? Thanks for all your help... <!--color-->
Just my personal preference, but I've found the 24mm to be the most all-around useful wide angle.
I have used a Vivitar Series 1 19-35mm with film cameras. Good performance and inexpensive.
It all depends on what you consider normal or wide angle. Personally I consider a 28mm to be a normal field of view for my photography so I would consider a 20mm or wider to be a wide angle. Photography is based on working with choices and you have to decide what field of view you are looking for and how it fits your style.

Hello All
My personal favorite is the 20-35 f3.5-4.5 USM lens. It get the most use for the work I do. A 77mm filter ring help to cut down on the distortion almost completely. The you also have to consider what camera you are using for the censor crop factor right?
I purchased the Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM last summer and I've been extremely pleased with it. It's fast, sharp, a bit pricey (around $680) but according to all reviews the quality of an "L" series without that price-tag. I used it for a wedding and my travels to Italy and Ireland shooting hundreds of photos with it and not once I regretted buying it, quite the opposite.
