Which software??

Have a Nikon D70 which I intend to use mostly for outdoor photography of scenery and wildlife. But do wish to take some shots of smaller items like watches/jewelry/crystal as my wife does some selling/buying on e bay of those items.

I'd like a program thats easy to use as I'm far from a computer genius. Would like to edit shots; crop,adjust color, print on an inkjet,transfer to a CD,e mail etc. NOTHING too amazing. Doubt If I need a $600 Version of Adobe.

I'm currently using the Nikon Picture Project that came with the camera. Works OK other than each time I add a few shots to my camera,then download I have to wait while ALL the previously downloaded/filed shots download and file as well. Cumbersome and time consuming.

Is there a way to stop this?? If so the PP may be enough for me.

And.....Going to upgrade my computer in 2-3 months with a large flat screen, HUGE memory etc. Primarily for viewing,editing and storing digitals. I'm really enjoying this camera and wish to expand my photographic horizons a bit.

You would likely be well served for what you want to do with Adobe Photoshop Elements, and it won't brake the bank.

I also own a D70, I have been using Photoshop 7. Just recently purchased Paint Shop Pro 10. Love them both, although I am more used to PS7. PSP X is not that expensive and truly a powerful program.

Picked up Photo Shop Elements today, going to give it a try. Have a new computer on the way so it will be a week before I'm up and running again.

Try Nikon capture 4.3, it will do evereything you want with the D70, or the D2x- you don't need ps for this

Then WHAT you want to do must be rather limited. I think most photographers want more, and that's why Apple has created their new Aperture application and Adobe has done something very similar in the public beta of LightRoom. Check the latter out at: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/lightroom
