Which poralizer and UV filters for my lenses?

I have a Pentax 50MM lens and a Sigma 70-300 DL Macro lens.
Sigma uses 58mm filters, and I'm not sure about Pentax lens (how would I figure that one out?)

Now, what are good companies for those filters? I've searched ebay, and there are hundreds of different options.

Sometimes it's written on the front of the lens. It's definitely written in the manual that came with the camera or brochure that came with the lens if they were sold separately, or probably on the Pentax web site.
