What camera should I buy. New to photography.

<!--color--> I love taking pictures but the camera I have is very slow. I would to get a new camera, but am clueless on what to buy.
I am kinda set on getting a Nikon but don't know which one to get considering I am new to photography. I take alot of pictures of my kids and I love taking scenic pics when I get the chance. I need something fast.

I suggest a bit of study so that you can determine the features you need to do what you wish the camera to do.
Any slr can work; the real difference is in the feel of any particular camera in your hands and how the controls are laid out. thje basic mechanical of aperture and shutter are the same.

Thankyou for the feed back. I am thinking of purchasing a Nikon and they offer free classes so I might go that route.
