Last week I took some photo's for a local rancher at a small branding. There to help were a few othe local ranchers, among them Cord and Saxton. I don't have Saxton's photo's ready yet so I'll confine this to Cord. I quickly realized I was watching something special about a way of life:
Little Boot's

That's right, Cord ain't very big.

In fact he's only 5 yrs old. He's riding his Mom's arena horse. she hazes for his Dad when he bulldogs on the rodeo circut in the N.W. And he's never alone when tied to a calf either, Dad's right there to keep things right:

Mom, on her new gray horse, heel rope's a calf and drag's it to be branded:

When she get's there, Cord throws Dad his rope to put on the front legs to pull and hold the calf still on the ground:

As it turned out on this photo, Grandpa, who was working the ground crew with Dad happened to be in the photo, three generations of rancher's. When they brand on the home ranch in the spring, great Grandpa is also there keeping talley.
I need to put in one more of just Cord, at home on his horse. All 50 puonds of him on his 1100 pound arena horse. I've watched his Mom haze for his dad and I'm telling you, that horse can flat fly!
