vintage slide projector

just found this site. I came acrossed an American optical slide projector. i was wondering if some one here could help me out with it. it says it was made in 1972 nine years before i was born so i have no idea about it. any info would be appreciated, thanks

American Optical dates back to 1833 and over the years made eye glasses, view cameras, and various specialty lenses so
I'm not surprized that you have found a slide projector. I believe they may have eventually merged into Bauch and Lomb.
Are you sure the date isn't 1872?
