Transfering reel film to digital

I have a case full of old ...I think...8 mm reel films...I also have an old projector to run them. But how do I get the video footage onto dvd, vhs ?

There are services for the conversion of 8mm film to video and then to digital video stored on DVD. You might just try doing a Google search for film>video services, I think you will find what you are looking for and possibly a service located in your neighborhood.
