Cnet.com posits that the monitor is visually as good as Apple Cinema 23
Are those at CNET photographers or professional graphics people that are making these evaluations? Unless a display's manufacturer state an LCD display is specifically made to meet the demands and requirements of professional graphics and photography, I would not even consider it. Dell does not manufacture LCD displays it just sells displays others make, so how can you really tell what it is, considering Dell does not reveal who made the display and what model of display it is of that prime manufacturer? Would you put much confidence in a recommendation a particular camera is great made by someone who doesn't produce photographs?
