Just wondering, I have seen it mentioned here that you can use an IR filter but the camera has to be IR sensitive. Which cameras are IR sensitive, I have a Canon EOS 7d and would like to try it for the cost of a filter, but I would not want any type of conversion that would be costly and would alter my camera.
