Please help - I may have gotten a little splash on my D70 Camera when I was taking pictures of the kids near a lake. Everything on my camera works except my shutter button - pretty important exception - I dried all the visible water from the camera (not much) and immediately tried using it - like I said everything worked except the shutter button. Is there anything I can do or am I screwed?

Well, don't try taking it apart! One thing you can try is using a hair dryer, low heat, and let it play on the area around the shutter release button. It will probably take some time to dry out, so keep an eye on the dryer and don't lay it on anything flammable. First, though, take the lens off and check inside for evidence of water. If it got that far, best to take it in for repair. If it's dry, put the lens back on before trying to dry it, and protect the lens with a towel or rag.
And be grateful it wasn't sea water, in which case the camera would be toast......

Do not let the camera get to hot, It does not take much heat to destroy the internal parts.
