Tenba Expands Outdoor Bag Collection
The new shoulder bags are available in small, medium and large sizes, covering a broad range of carrying needs, from a single SLR and lens to a full-sized setup with multiple bodies and lenses and even a laptop. All models incorporate easily customized, well-padded interiors, front and side accessory pockets, and -- as with other bags in the Shootout Collection -- a removable media wallet and a phone/MP3 player pouch. These accessories are tethered within the side pockets for security, or can be removed and attached to various points on the bags, or worn as separate pouches on any belt.
The medium and large bags feature Tenba's Quick Access pockets, allowing fast, easy access to the interior of the bag through special side hatches, without having to open the entire bag. The Quick Access pockets are a welcome benefit for working pros who need to switch lenses or get to other gear quickly, especially in inclement weather.
Tenba's other new Shootout introduction, the Photo/Laptop Courier, is an outdoor-oriented hybrid of a traditional laptop briefcase and a camera bag. The deceptively slim Courier accommodates most laptops up to 17 inches, along with a pro-sized D-SLR body, two or three lenses, and accessories. The bag allows the computer to be removed either through the main front flap, or through a special Quick Access slot in the back -- making airport security checks a breeze. A removable media wallet, as well as a separate, padded pouch for a portable hard drive are both included with the case.
Among the "too-many-features-to-mention" found in the new Shootout bags is Tenba's new, patent-pending "Covert Closure" flap buckle system. Its clips are virtually invisible so they never get in the way (again, an important consideration for pros and other fast-action, outdoor shooters), yet can be secured in an instant for quick, temporary fastening of the main flap without having to zip it fully closed.
The new products, like all Shootout bags, are built to protect valuable pro imaging gear in demanding, all-season outdoor conditions. All feature highly durable yet lightweight materials, water-repellent fabric coatings, weather-sealed zippers, amply padded shoulder straps, and Tenba's exclusive, auxiliary WeatherWrap -- an independent, fast-deploying full-bag cover -- for additional protection in rainy, snowy, or dusty environments. All bags are available in black with olive accent trim or silver with black trim, and the Courier is also available in black on black.
Manufacturer's suggested retail prices for Shootout shoulder bags and the Photo/Laptop Courier range from $140 to $228. For more information, visit tenba.com.
