Just wondering, what would be the attitude here of a tax on photo equipment to help support wildlife management and outdoor probigation projects. For instence, creation of viewing areas and photo stands ect. Just a thought.
Why would I, a portrait and wedding photographer, want to pay a tax that furthers only your interest? Would I have to certify that the equipment I purchase will not be used to photograph a backyard squirrel in order for me not to pay the tax?
Impractical, that's all.
Taxes are to me as the proverbial red cape to a bull. This idea reminds me of the City of Portland, Oregon wanting to tax cell phone use to, guess what, pay for expenses that have nothing to do with cell phones. Let's find ways to reduce the overall tax burden, not increase it.
Really I agree with you guys but somethings have come up elsewhere where people paying a special tax seem to think it gives them special rights to things public. Probally just my brused feelings over a few radicals overbearing attitudes.
