You might consider the Lowepro CompuTrekker Plus AW which has everything you specified except the water bottle holder. But you don't want to carry water there anyhow. Get yourself a fanny pack with insulated holsters for the water bottles. That way, even if everything goes wrong, the water is BELOW the level of the backpack.

Incidentally, Lowepro also makes a couple of bags in this line which have rollers and even larger capacities. I don't own any of these bags, but I've never heard a bad word said about the Lowepro products.

Thanks man, really appreciate that. I wonder how much room there is in the back for extra materials (printouts, notebook) beyond just the laptop itself.

I also noticed on the Lowepro web site that they have a SlipLock system (whatever that is) that allows you to add on extra pouches and cases...and water bottle holders. Hmm... might have to look into replacing my Case Logic case.

Just a couple of thoughts. First, you might see if you can find one that isn't obviously a camera case (based partly on brands that are known as such) if you will ever worry about getting it stolen. Second, you might want to check that it fits in airline overhead compartments. My largest one does barely (without any jamming) but frankly that was dumb luck.
