A senior at the university, Alexander Diaz will graduate with a Bachelor's degree in photography and plans to attend graduate school. "I'm going to take a little break, a little time off," he says, "and then apply to grad school at the University of Florida."

The photos here are personal work, taken from summer travels in Peru and Haiti.

Alexander's goal is to get his MFA degree and teach photography at the university level. "I think it's an ideal life--to be able to take photographs, do my own work and teach photography," he says.

Alexander Diaz was recommended to us by Dominick Martorelli, head of the photo department at the university.
