Sony's DSC-V3... Good or Bad?

Is Sony's DSC-V3 a good investment? I want to upgrade from my digital camera (DSC-P10) to a digital SLR. I'm trying not to pay to high for a camera, so I found the DSC-V3. Is it a good camera for a beginner in SLR photography?

The V3 is a good camera but it is NOT an SLR.
