Sony Cameras Do Infrared

Sony DSC 707, 717 and 828 all are designed with an infrared option. Attached are a couple of examples from a post Civil War African-American graveyard here in Baton Rouge. These were taken before the hurricanes.

Glenn,

I you want to, you can get rid of the strong color cast of these photos by desaturating and then using levels to spread the tonal range between black and white.

These examples are heavily colored because of manipulation. Because Sony infrared is actually a black and green image-like that in military night goggles, there is color that can be manipulated. Attached is a black and white.

Now that is a picture I can get excited about! The ones with the heavy color cast don't do it for me. Enjoy your infrared adventure!
