NOTE: I had originally mistakenly posted this message in the "Rangefinder" forum. Sorry for the "cross-posting"!
I am using a Canon D-20 and am interested in that lens to bring my lens "coverage" down to the equivalent of a Film-24mm (my currentFilm-equiv. is 45mm -- not wide enough for many jobs!). I have a couple of questions about this lens...
1) It has a so-called "rear filter" 'device'(?). I have never owned or even seen a lens with that concept. Even though I do NOT intend to use this lens with a filter on the rear, I wonder IF this concept does open the door to some problems compared to a 'normal' lens (e.g., more dust, limitation to the distance between far rear of lens and trajectory of the mirror, etc.). Thanks for any comments/toughts regarding this concept!
2) How would you rank the optical quality of this lens? (Sharpness, contrast, flare, astigmatism, linear distortion, etc.)
Thanks for your feedback.
