Let me just jump straight in:

All of the images from my XT are slightly soft... I've tried all the tricks to correct softness, with no noticeable result. Tripod mounted, stopped down, mirror lockup & self timer, increased sharpness in-camera, shot at least 6 different lenses on it (including 85 f/1.8 & 24-70 f/2.8l).
I'm looking for a tack-sharp image straight from the camera, either jpg or raw, and I'm not getting it. My images are consistently slightly soft.
So my question is, am I expecting too much from my camera, or does it need to be serviced?
It's not keeping me from producing good images, but it bothers me and I don't like turning the sharpness up in my raw converter every time and introducing artifacts or halos.

I bought the whole kit secondhand but it was really taken care of and didn't show any signs of abuse or being dropped... the only things I can think of at this point are a mis-aligned sensor or low pass filter.
