Shutterbug Photo of the Day: “Magic Moment” by Neil Oracion

Today’s Shutterbug Photo of the Day is beautifully peaceful image by Neil Oracion. Oracion is now in the running to win a $1,000 Canon Pixma Pro-1 photo printer or a $500 Gift Certificate from LensRentals.com in our April Photo of the Month contest. Details on how to enter here.

“The sunset was having a dull colors and a thick cloud on the right side,” Oracion writes about the image. “Decided and tell my friend to wait for the twilight, then the expected colors came out and the thick clouds slowly left."

The image is a 120-second exposure that captures the movement of the clouds. Oracion shot the photo using a Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III with a Canon 16-35mm f/2.8L Mark II lens and a Lee Filter GND attached. Other gear used included a Manfrotto tripod and Phottix Aion wireless intervalometer. Settings were f/11, ISO 250 and a focal length of 16mm.
