Shutterbug Photo of the Day: “Above Big Sur” by Douglas Croft

Today’s Shutterbug Photo of the Day is this splendid image of nature captured by Douglas Croft. Croft shot the photo in the Big Sur region of the Central Coast of California.

“I'd gone to Big Sur to watch the Gray Whale migration from the cliffs but it was too foggy to even see the water, so I decided to hike up the Baronda Trail to try to get above the fog,” we writes about the shot. “This view was the reward. The hillsides were carpeted with lupine and the skies were sparkling blue.”
