So, I've decided that it's time to get a new digital camera. I'm fed up with mediocre quality coming from my digital point and shoot.
What I am looking for is an SLR that will be able to take high resolution pictures. Most of the pictures that I seem to be coming up too low on detail and quality are outdoor shots, typically with haloing effects or over/under exposure and general point-and-shoot crap picture stuff.
I have been looking around, and there are many different paths to take. I don't have any equipment to lock me into a brand, but I'm not here to drop several thousand dollars into getting a decent camera and lens.
Now, I am quite aware that some aspects of picture quality are from the photographer. I am looking for a camera that will help get through the parts that aren't from the photographer-at least not with a point-and-shoot.
