I take pictures at a horseback riding stable and am finding it not only expensive to print all the pix and hope to sell them but am also having extreme difficulty in handling the enormous volume of prints that I have to print, any suggestions? I am currently using inkjet and print about 75-100 prints an hour. Thanks for any suggestions.
I think that your problem stems more with the arrangement you have with the organization/location where you are shooting and whether the people are expecting to purchase prints. When you say "hope to sell them" I wonder what that really means. It appears that you're shooting on speculation.
Getting back to your problem. Can you create web pages on the fly and let people pick (prepay of course) the prints they want copies of? Do you have anyone working with you so the prints or web pages can be prepared while you're still shooting? What do other event photographers do in the same situation? What kind of finished product are you selling? Are you just offering prints, or are you putting the print in something professional looking, like they do with wedding pictures?
