selling photos to magazines??

Hello all...Looking for any info anyone has on selling photos to magazines or even how to go about getting in the door...who to contact?should I just send pics in randomly? and any info on getting work seen at galleries how to and what to say and show gallery owners to get in..thank u for help anyone has....frustrated artistic photogragher

I recommend calling the assistant editor before sending anything in. Make sure what you have is related to the content normally published in that particular magazine. You can usually find submission guidlines (and names of the editorial staff) on the magazine's web site.

The Photographer's Market book that is published yearly is a great information tool. You should be able to find it in any major book stores.
