Searching For Digital Camera for Marketing

I'm looking for a digital camera that can take great marketing pictures - the magazine-type pictures, ie. vibrant colours, glowing, the sort of diffused look. If you look at any big company's product lists (ex. sony.com) you will know what i'm talking about. I realize they spend $$$$ for photoshopping and editing the photos.. but i'll take the closest thing. I don't need any super zooming, nightvision, super sharpness etc.

I need a camera that takes, hate to say it, "fake" looking pictures of products. Does anyone know of marketing-friendly digital cameras? or even photoshopping techniques. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Ania, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the devil is in the operator of the camera and the dark/light room. The camera only does what you tell it to.

Though Ronk's exactly right, there ARE things which you can do to improve your outcome. Things like good macro capability and some sort of a shooting table will make this a whole lot easier. The big question is: Are you shooting for print or for the web? If the latter, and if you're shooting small objects, you can get absolutely amazing results with a good point-and-shoot and something like the Kaiser Studio Out-Of-The-Box Desktop Studio Shooting Table.

If you're shooting for print, the requirements are a bit stricter, but still well within your reach after some practice.

The real trick is to take a single object and photograph it many different ways, then take a look at the results and remember how you did the ones you like. It's really neither difficult nor tedious; in fact it's a lot of fun.
