I am going to Disney World in three weeks and hoping there is a way to save RAW files to cd/dvd. I know Walmart only works with jpeg and I refuse to by a media reader for my Ipod after reading reviews. Can anyone offer help with saving RAW files to cd or dvd. I won't have the use of a computer.
There are numerous portable, battery powered hard drives with the capability of transferring digital camera files to the drive in whatever format they are saved, and there may be some portable DVD/CD drives that can do the same thing although I cannot identify them by brand or model. For travel to save camera files, I personally lean towards a portable HD with card\reader package, and also find the Epson P-3000 0r P-5000 are maybe the best choice. Other brands include Photo Bank, Wolverine and SmartDisk that are all more modest on cost, but with fewer attractive and convenient features. I could only locate one portable CD/DVD drive by Addonics, but it did not have a Card Reader.
I would think most photographers wanting to burn CD's or DVD's of their Raw camera files on the road would probably use a laptop computer they can take on their travels with them.
here's an example of a DVD burner and card reader built in for traveling:

Though the beauty of a device like the Epson is that it's a viewer so you have a visual confirmation of successful transfer of the images.
A couple of years back when traveling in the USA, I was concerned about running out of storage. I found out at that time a company named Kinko's had such a service. There were several stores at my destination. As it turned out, I had sufficient space on my cards so I did not need to use them. Evidently they are everywhere in the USA.
I too have the same question in mind. So am going to use the solutions provided and see if it works. I guess we can search it over the internet and get the solution to our problem too. may be any one of these works fine. When this issue is sorted please post the results. looking forward for the same.
