I went to the site your referenced, and I am afraid my french is not sufficient to determine what they are actually measuring, using what instrumentation and software; or for that matter are the readings (chart) taken at the display's factory defaults or after calibration and profiling. If after, the charted differences should be minimal.

I cannot replicate what they measured for two reasons. I do not have the displays available presently, and I would have to know what instrimentation, method and to what aim points the calibration was made.

As I indicated my evaluation was based on calibrating to a particular range between the white and black point CD/m2 setting after adjustment and then profiled at those setting. My evaluation was based on the gamut produced using the resulting profile read and plotted using Chromix ColorThink software.

I did not consider testing and evaluating the 215TW because that monitor was not identified by Samsung USA as a pro-graphics model, while both the 244T and 214T were.

If an English translation that is accurate can be provided detailing what the test on the French web site actually involved, I could possibly comment more specifically. But I have not seen color management analysis software that produces a chart result as you have copied from the web site. Maybe they used something that is not commonly available here.

Here are some translations from the French website:
"Situation:
Analysis of the color rendition of factory parameters with the LaCie Blue Eye Pro colorimeter. The graph shows Delta E, being the measured difference between the ideal colors and those on the screen.
Criteria: When Delta E is bigger then 3, the color differs significantly from the required color. Below that is good, very good if below 2 and perfect when Delta E is less than 1."
Etape 3 means step 3 and this is where you can choose several characteristics. "Rendu des couleurs par defaut" means color rendition at the factory default. "Rendu des couleurs apres calibration", you guessed it, color rendition after calibration.

I guess seven years of French in grade and highschool and living for 2 years in Brussels, Belgium does pay of now and again.

Thanks for the translation. I went back and looked at the gamut plot as well as the post calibration chart. It doesn't say much for the LaCie Blue Eye, but then I knew that after testing it and deciding I would not report on it as I could not recommend its use.
