Can anyone tell me when this edition of GX was made. I was thinking around 1985? Monte Johnson.
It was about 1989--to celebrate the 60th anniversary
1929>1989. They sold new for about $2,000-2,200 or so.
Thanks Dave,
KEH has one but they want 1900 for it. A little more than I am willing to pay. Monte Johnson.

You can do a Google search and come up with a lot of info
on this camera. I consider it to be more of a collector's
item than a user camera. There are plenty of 6 x 6 cameras on the market which are better suited to be "all around
cameras". An example would be late model Mamiya TLR's which
have interchangeable lenses, if you like TLR's. There are also bargains in earlier model Hassy's. Last week I was looking at a near mint Mamiya RZ with the 110mm lens for $500. It could have been had for $1000 as a 3 lens outfit.
Dave,
I would really like to have a GX. I have looked at the Mamiya TLRs but the Rollei is the one I have desired. I am not going to buy one though because there are other things I would like to have also. My Fuji does a nice job good lens and is easy to handle. I may pick up an F or E someday. At this time I am looking toward combining digital again to my hobby. I am not thrilled about it but am intersted in infrared photography. At times I have just thought of going back to 35mm and digital. You see there are just many things I want before I leave this place. Monte Johnson.
Hi again Monte,
I assume you have the 6 x 7 or 6 x 9 Fuji rangefinder camera. They have excellent lenses, especially for B/W. I sold my 6 x 9 to a local gal who specializes in infrared with it. She is now shooting with B/W infrared film and scanning it--really great stuff.
Actually, IIRC he has the GA645Zi with the 55-90 zoom -- the same as I do. It is an awesome camera, even if it isn't 6x6 (which I prefer as I am basically a lazy person, and besides I prefer the flexibility of square format.) I particularly like the fact that it imprints shooting data on the side of the frame.
BTW, I also have a C330, and it is a great camera for when I am in a manual-everything mode.

Ed and Dave,,
Fuji rangefinders are great cameras.Ed you are right the 645ZI is a wonderful camera with a sharp lens. I have ran 60 rolls through mine. The Rollei well it is just one of those you desire to have. Not that it is any better. Besides 645 format is not bad to work with. Monte Johnson.
