I'm going to purchase my first dSLR. I'm pretty set on the d80, it fits my budget and my needs. The question I'm struggling with is accessories. I've got some experience with a 30+ yr old Nikon SLR and use a coolpix 5700 everyday for work and it's no longer doing the trick. Picture quality for anything with movement or trying to set the focal length or exposure is terrible...even photoshop can't fix, not to mention the green pixels.
My needs vary from detail stills of equipment for literature purposes, to very low light individuals where reflective tape is present (and a true pain with the 5700) to just playing around candids of friends and family.
I'm pretty certain I will (whenever it's available) get a 18-200, but I'm not certain what other lenses I should be looking at and what flash. I assume my old lense and flash wont be commpatible or minimally useful at that.
Is there a major difference, other than price, between the 28-200 which is available and the 18-200?
Thanks!
