When it comes to free image hosts, most of them don't allow you to directly link to your picture (in other words, display the pic directly in the forum post, instead on needing to click on a link).

However, on exception that I know of is Photobucket. They provide free image hosting and allow direct linking and even provides properly formatted links that you can paste directly into the text of your post.

For example, to post the following image:

You just copy and paste the link that looks like this:
