With CS2 compared to CS the Document/Source space should be your workspace profile, usually Adobe RGB (1998).

With a fully color managed print workflow the Print Space should go to the "let Photoshop..." option, and in that dialogue put the specific profile for your printer/paper.

Then in the printer driver under color management , select "no color adjustment"

Thanks for your reply. I have been using the No color management in the driver box, Let photoshop determine the colors, and in normal printing I select the printer profile for the paper I am using.

However in developing a new profile in Colorvision PrintFIX, their instructions are for CS, where the Print Space is listed as Same as Source for the older CS. the Source is RGB 1998. This is not the same options using the newer CS2, and their website doesn't have new instructions for CS2.

If my Document source space is RGB 1998, I am assuming I need to select RGB 1998 for the printer profile since in developing a new profile you don't select one of the existing profiles.

I feel common sense tells me in doing a new profile with PRintFix, and the calibration scanner, my profile needs to match the source. Does that part make sense?

Your assumption is correct. You must be working on Windows, as CS2 on Mac allows "Same as Source".

Alas, yes it is windows. If I worked fulltime with graphics I would probably be with Mac, so I must make do.
