This is from the latest Hasselblad newsletter:

Hasselblad is the only manufacturer that has a ready-for-delivery 50 Mpixel solution. The Hasselblad H3DII-50, which is the new flagship of Hasselblad's H3D family and the fifth generation of our medium format DSLR camera system, will contain the new Kodak KAF-50100 image sensor, featuring a set of entirely new features such as new dyes for even better, richer colors, quick flush technology for faster capture and longer battery life, and more. The H3DII-50 camera system has been specially designed to meet the exacting demands of high-end commercial photographers who require the ultimate in image quality, performance and creative freedom.

It will be interesting to see how much this puppy costs, given that the 39 MP version of the H3 runs about $49K US.

I think I'll stick with film a while longer.....

Well at that price I think we all should run out a purchase a couple. Maybe that will pump the economy out when people see consumer's confidence is up over major purchases like that.

In all honesty I'd like to add a digital back to my 500c/m, but the prices are going to have to go down or the kids are going to have give up the idea of going to college.

Well, I'm all for boosting the economy, but not for restoring it singlehandedly. I guess my A12 backs will be around for a while yet.....
