OK gang. I'm tired of draging the laptop along everytime we go on vacation. Between all of the lenses and camara bodies my backpack is getting way too heavy. I am considering purchasing a portable hard drive. I've looked at the EZDigimagic, Delkin DVD burnaway and Medigear. I've only been able to find a total of 4 reviews on all of these item combined and none of them were too favorable. I need your input!! Any and all comments are appreciated! Thanks!!
I use a Wolverine 40GB harddrive; it's battery powered (charger is included) and measures about 3x5x1". It holds over 6000 images of my Nikon D70 digital camera.

Like Franz said, you can use a portable hard drive. But I wouldn't travel without a laptop for a number of reasons. You can verify and back up your images. You can then burn DVDs and mail them home in case your equipment is stolen or damaged. You can stay connected to the rest of the world and upload your images to your web site on a daily basis.
If your laptop is too large or too heavy, you may consider one of the newer smaller lighter models.
Check out the Toshiba Libretto:

Check out the Hyperdrive product. I don't own one yet but it'll be soon.

Has anybody else used a Hyperdrive?
Thanks for the lead. I will check it out!
