Photoshop Elements 4

I am in dire need of some help. I have Photoshop Elements 4 and need to make good quality b/w images from color digital shots. I have a D70 which does not have a function on the camera that I am aware of to perform this task. Elements 4 does not have a channel mixer which I gather is very important in making b/w prints. If there are specific plugins for Elements that anyone knows about that would help me, I am willing to try anything. Thanks for the help

The hue/saturation method works much better than the incamera b&w from what I have seen.

Hi, I'm new here.

I have a book that came with some step-by-step stuff on how to fake color channels, and i think it came with some sort of software that would plug in and do this automatically. I'll take a look. It was for an earlier version, maybe it would still help...
