I'm going to need photo editing software for my Emac. I've been reading reports that Elements 4.0 has many bugs and is less than intuitive for beginners (me). Aperture and Photoshop are beyond what I need (just good ol' darkroom stuff: dodge & burn; crop and perspective corection; color correction and enhancement, etc). What other photo editing software is available for the Mac?

If you look to reliable sources you will find that there are no serious problems with Elements 4.0 on a Mac. Just keep the OS version upgrades as well as Adobe upgrades up to date. For under $100 you can't do any better, and if it is too difficult, editing beyond what iPhoto can do is maybe something you should forget. No Pain no gain.
