Photo drum and Motor Base

At the risk of sounding dumb, I have a question about what to do with a development drum and motor base that I received as a gift. I received an 8 inch diameter drum (by approx 18 inch) drum and motor base, however I am not sure what to do with it. I have developed B&W photo's in development trays in the past. Could you please give me some advice?

i have never used them for b&w, but friends of mine who do process their own color prints do. You can check out the Jobo or Besler(I think) web sites.
