I am considering buying one of two lenses. The two lenses are the Tamron 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di LD 1:2 Auto Focus Macro Zoom Lens and the Tamron 55 - 200mm f/4.0-5.6 DI-II LD Macro Ultra Compact Auto Focus Telephoto Zoom Lens.
I have a Digital Rebel XT. I do not have the big bucks to pay for expensive lenses. I like to shoot pretty much everything except sports. I do a lot of landscapes and flowers. I am always wanting to zoom closer to my subjects, but with the normal lens that comes with the Digital Rebel, it just isn't enough, and sometimes you can't walk closer to something without scaring it away (animals and birds). Other times you can't get closer because it's not allowed (state parks, historic places) or not even possible (certain landscapes).
Has anyone used these two lenses? How do the pictures turn out when zooming to 200mm or 300mm?
