Nikon repair parts

Has anyone else experienced major delays in Nikon digital repair? My service tech says Nikon may eliminate their spare parts department and leave it to aftermarket vendors. They're not focusing on customer service, just sales. If that's the case, I may switch to Canon, after 35 yrs with Nikon.

Sorry for late response regarding your experience with Nikon Service Center. My experience with Nikon is diffrent as I had some technical issues with my D300 and had to leave it with Nikon Service Center in Los Angeles. Both issues was resolved in a speedious and courteous way.
