Are all Nikon D80's and lenses in their "kit" made in Thailand?
I just bought one at Best Buy and noticed that they were made in Thailand.

For the same reason some people don't like finding out Ford trucks are made in Mexico possibly.
Like my Wife's PT cruser which is also made in Mexico.
BTW, the finish work is excellent, but the Engine, made in the US, only gets 17 MPG city and 20 MPG HW (that is if your are going down hill with the key off)!
A long time ago, American manufacturers found they could produce quality products more economically by having them assembled in countries that could provide skilled labor at lower wages than American workers demanded. They farmed out production to Japan. Japan's economy grew and their own manufacturers began to overtake the American companies in terms of quality and innovation. Eventually, the Japanese began to look for cheaper labor markets and began farming out their manufacturing to other asian countries like Singapore, Korea, Indonesia and Thailand. Those countries will eventually grow economically to the point where they have to look for cheaper labor markets. It's the way things are, get used to it.

Take the car back to the dealer and have them do a check on the sensors. I suspect you have a bad sensor. If you do it will cause the fuel management system to run wide open on the fuel injection system. Most people I know are getting glose to 30mpg combined milage.
