When using my two Nikon D70s bodies with Sigma 500 dedicated flashes, and when taking multiple expousures of the same subject, the brightness of the images varies a lot from frame to frame.
For example, if I'm shooting a bride waist level at a church with the Sigma flashes, and take 8 or 9 exposures to get a great expression, the brightness of each frame looks very different, even though nothing has changed. I am very careful to see that the ready light is on before each exposure.
Usually the first frame is nice and bright, all the subsequent frames are darker.
Is this normal for digital? Is anyone else experiencing this?
Using my White Lightning studio strobes with the camera on manual settings, exposures are very consistent.
Not so with the Sigma flashes. They are dedicated for Nikon NA-I-TTL digital and set properly, so that's not the problem. The camera and flashes are set to "program" on most of my wedding imaging.
Any suggestions? - Rob in Oregon
