On the web today there is at least one vendor offering the D2X 12MP for $2300. Has anybody heard rumors or better about the D2X being lowered in MSRP or possibly being replaced? Nikon is pretty aggressive in the dSLR market, as witnessed by the recent intro of the very attractively priced D200 10MP dSLR (MSRP $1700). I wouldn't be surprised if (and kind of expect that) the D2X is being lowered in price to better line up with the D200 AND to compete fiercely with Canon's EOS 12MP dSLR or is going to be phased out and replaced with a better camera at the same or lower price point. Your reactions are very welcome!
