I treated myself to the D200 this morning. I got SO LUCKY!!! The first call I placed this morning trying to see who would have the camera in stock... I STRUCK GOLD!!! I was up until 3 am reading review after review. I decided I was going to take the plunge. But from what I was reading, no one had them in stock in my area, Southern California. I decided to call a local camera store and basically get on a waiting list. Boy was I shocked when they said they had one in stock. I was up their in minutes! The only problem is that my lenses are at work (I got the body only) so I have to wait until Monday to play with my camera! UGH!!! But know that I will post my review once I have a chance to play with it!!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!
Congratulations! The D200 sounds like a very nice camera. I'm waiting till they start coming on the used market, i.e. the D300 is out.
Looking forward to hearing what you think.

Well congratulations! The reviews on it have been great and I hope that you'll come on back after you've gotten your lenses and played with it a while so you can give us your impressions.
Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas!
I am wanting so bad to go out and buy one too. If I call around and find a store with one in stock I too will go ahead and take the plunge.
Let us know what you think!
I think the D200 is a good choice. You will enjoy it. So far it is the one digital that has interested me. I still am with film. I purchased a used Rolleiflex GX a week ago but do not rule digital out for the future. Monte Johnson.
