Nikon Capture 4 and Capture NX

I have a D200. What is the difference between these two software programs and if I have Photoshop CS2 do I still need one of these Nikon progreams to work with the NEF files?

The latest build of Capture 4 can open the D200 NEF files, and Capture 4 can do remote camera control where NX requires you to purchase a second program just for that purpose. I haven't looked at Capture NX since 2006 PMA but it appeared to have some great features.

The question really comes down to what is it that you're looking for. Photoshop opens Nikon RAW files also, as does a number of other programs.

Capture 4 will not work with NEF files produced by the D80. I have the D80 & had to buy Capture NX as the included software was too limited for what I wanted to do. I am not sure but Capture 4 may not work with the D200 NEF files. It was designed to work with the D70. I don't know if the remote control on Capture 4 will work with either the D200 or D80.
