The recent photo contest hosted by Shutterbug Magazine and Nik Software, Inc. resulted in hundreds of beautiful entries being submitted. Creativity and storytelling techniques, keeping with the primary theme of "Warm Summer Days and Cool Nights", were common between all of the top candidates.

The national photo contest was announced this summer and as entries began to arrive, it was very clear that the work was absolutely stunning and would be difficult to judge. A cross-section of photography featuring children, flowers, scenic landscapes, and macro close-ups made up the largest percentage of entries.

Tony Corbell, noted photographer and director of Nik Software’s educational efforts said, “One thing is certain. Shutterbug readers know composition, color harmony, how to shoot for impact and general photographic technique really well. What a great body of work.“
