considering sony alpha 100 or nikon d80, new user from fuji finepix 7000, work for helicopter co. will be shooting mainly from air minimum distance 200feet, aircraft vibrates alot so anti shake is inportant, hate reading manuals so ease of use important, leaning towards sony because of anti shake built into body but leary because its their first dslr, recommendations & lens ?

There is really no reason to be leery. Sony makes a significant part of all of the digital photo sensors used in many different camera brands, and they bought out Minolta's entire photography operation and resources, which after Canon and Nikon is one of the best in quality and technology development.

Set your camera on shutter speed priority and set the lens on manual focus and set it on infinity. Use the highest shutter speed you can. That should cover you for shooting from a helicopter. Photographers have been doing it for years without anti shake technology.
