And the new post option is dead link on my machine again.
Hi David,
Check to see if you are logged in. That would be the reason why the link to post wouldn't work.
Or try a different browser.
Maybe instead of being concerned about the 64-bit fantasy, you might consider getting a real computer.
Frans,
Back in the mid 90's Microsoft thought they could acquire some sizable part of the graphics computing market and invested hugely in the effort that was supposed to be released along with Windows 2000. However, Microsoft found that they could not make any significant inroads and capture a sizable portion of the graphics market, and then drastically reduced the size of the graphics team and even failed to release ICM 3.0 that was slated for Windows 2000. In fact ICM 3.0 has finally debuted in Vista.
In other words Frans, Microsoft does not take professional-level graphics computing very seriously presently, and what it does for digital photography is leveled at casual snapshooters.
That is the basis of my remark, and you are welcome to take my reasoning to task, as you probably will, but then won't you be the pot calling the kettle black?
David,
As brief as it was, my post was not a comment on the technical issues but on your never failing ability to express your hostile attitude toward certain individuals like David Sarti. Your comment "Maybe instead of being concerned about the 64-bit fantasy, you might consider getting a real computer." speaks volumes about that attitude.
Frans Waterlander
Frans,
I am not hostile to David Sarti, just some of the ideas he expresses. I am not hostile to anyone for that matter, that takes too much energy and I'm inherently too lazy to get worked up about how people choose to behave. That's their problem and apparently your problem as you seem to like to jump in every time you think I am being some way you don't approve of.
David,
Excellent example of double-speak. I see you have your classics down pat.

Why can't I start a New Post?
All 35mm cameras take the same film, the manufactures should be compeled to all ues a standard lens mound & maybe interface for auto focus if posibel, then the lens & body markets would be more compeditive, we would not be held hostage to a brand because we already have their lens! Who can twist their arm?
Hi
Not sure I am in the right place. I have registered, and logged on. Clicking on the "digital camera wish list" brings me here, but I do not see any discussion about the topic. I also am not able to post a new thread, only to reply to an existing thread, hence my reply here.
Am I doing something wrong? Am I in the wrong place?
Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to supply.
Glen
Hi, Glen, and welcome!
All you need to do is click on the forum title in the left hand column of the main index. That will take you to the page where you can originate a new post. You will also see listed all the previous threads in that forum.....
Hi Bill, and thanks
Have registered, logged in, but the "post" button is dead. At the bottom, it says I cannot post new, but can reply.
Is it because I am using Mozilla firefox??
Glen
That's strange, I'm getting the same thing now. Sounds like a question for the moderator.
Oh, Larry........?
