Here's one of the places I usually go for lens reviews. Not to many yet though.

I have the big L f2.8 (in think) version of that lens, I use it at some sporting stuff with the kid (T-ball etc) f2.8 will let me shoot in pretty low light, the other time I use it is for portrait work, but agian I use it to take advantage of the f2.8, really it is an 1800.00 lens that sit a lot. On a lower end side I have alway been a big fan of my 28-135 usm is, it is a very versital lens and it not that expensive. I have talked 3 of my friends into buying that lens, the all love it, and it is like 400.00 so it doesn't break the bank. Personally I have about 9 lens, the one that is on my camera the most is my new 16-40 L, love having a true wide angle lens again. But again this is a "get out the check book" kind of lens.
