New Canon 50D in my hands!!!

I just got my new 50D and it looks the same as my 40D. There are ALOT more setting in the Menu. I will post some football stuff tommorow afternoon. I'M CAN'T WAIT TO USE IT!!!!! Oh, by the way I just wanted to be the first!

Here are a few photos with the new Canon 50D. Not my best, but give me a few weeks. I was using a old Canon 70-300 IS lens. 50D has ALOT more menu items and the new screen is VERY bright, I had NO problem veiwing photos in bright sunlight. My 40D was bad for that. OK now do some night time football with the ISO cranked all the way up and post some of them... I would like to see the noise at ISO 25600

I will try on Friday night, I have been trying the high ISO and it has been working SO FAR. You are right the real test will be on Friday. And the highest ISO on the 50D is 12800 with H2 setting.

I've been looking at the 50D and day dreaming. Do you feel that the investment is worthwhile over your 40D? I will be upgrading from an XT 8mp. and can hardly wait to try the 50D.

I got my 50D last week and i am very pleased with it -- i have upgraded from a 400D and it is a pleasure to shoot with.

I've noticed lately through an off shoot forum from BetterPhoto.com shooters on Yahoo, that some users of the Canon 50D are having noise problems and have sent their units back.
Have any of you 50D users had any problems?

I'm on my third 50D in six weeks. The first two had severe problems with damaged files. Third time is the charm, I think. No problems yet.

Two weeks with Canon 50D no problems so far, not so much different from my Canon 40D.
