I am a newby to all this photo jargon. I recently upgraded to a Rebel XTI and have a Nikon WM-E80 wide angle lese that I used on my previous camera. Anybody use this with the Rebel XTI? If so, what size adapter ring did you use to mount it because there is nowhere in the literature that comes with it that says what size it is. The XTI is a 58mm which I have found no problem getting an adapter ring to use my filters I perviously had, but cannot find what size this lense is to puchase a step down ring for it. I tried their website but no response on it and the camera shop here is not very helpful, although they sure were when it came to selling it to me previously for the old camera!
I am assuming that the Nikon wide angle adapter was meant for a didgam vrs an actual SLR. As such, I doubt it would work very well on an SLR due to the actual physical lens sizes. You also would have to be very careful to make sure that the rear element of the adapter didn't scratch the front surface of your Canon lens.
At best, it would work as a kind of fish-eye lens, and probably degrade the quality of your Canon lens.
Exactly what you're looking for.
