Hello all, Thanks for having me here. I am a full time teacher looking to retire in 7 years. I have just started a part time photography bussiness , mostly shooting friends and family, mostly on location using natural available light. I do have studio lights and use them as needed. I want to build a home studio that will allow me to use natural light year round with the option of using studio controlled lights as needed. Any suggestions or links to resources, articles on this subject would be great. Thanks. Kim at Thyme in the Garden Classics.

I am a new user of the shutterbug forums so have not seen this post before but if you go to this link
http://www.houseofphotography.com/ and do a contact with Ron Kramer and his classes, you will learn what you need to become a good portrait photographer.
Do a Google search for Joe Zeltsman and Monte Zucker and you will obtain lots of online info including Joe's great book about portrait photography.
Also, Google the name Hugh Jacob and communicate with him and see if he is speaking or offering courses anywhere that you can get to.
